Time to be humble, says the corona virus - Anton Fernando
For sometime now, this #CORVID-19 virus has put everyone on anxiety, just imagine how life must have been for those who live in constant war zones like Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, and Syria, not only carpet bombed day in day out, but total destruction of infrastructure, economies, irrigation systems, hospitals, schools, crippling sanctions, millions of lives lost and many left in trauma.
Let's treat all violence as a virulent man-made virus invasion, that we have the power to stop.
Forgive the past mistakes, be humble, and realize a tiny virus from mother nature can wipe out us all, because for mother nature all life-forms are her children, and her patience has limits.
Revenge doesn't help, if anything it will only perpetuate the cycle of violence forevermore. Our differences, cultural, religious, gender, race, region, caste, language, all are non-essential things, as proven by the corona virus very clearly, it doesn't care who you're, or what background you have, the virus will strike you.
Strangely enough, children are spared by the corona virus, hmm, I wonder why, perhaps something to do with their state of innocence? Certainly we adults are not as innocent like children, we have lost our innocence, and instead developed massive egos, that is destroying this planet.
How do we change course and correct our ways? I would say start with humbleness, be humble, forgive the past, and create solutions that are best for all, its time we consider all as equals. Time to honor nature, animals, plants, environment and water.
If man has no chance against a tiny virus, I would say yes its time to be humble.
Again everything starts with self, look into yourself, reflect on your own life, your own ways, your mind, your ego, your behaviors, how you cause harm to yourself, how you disregard yourself, within that self-reflection, a sense of humbleness will be born, then, remember to forgive yourself, make peace with yourself, before you can make peace with others.
Its a long road indeed, before man wakes up, I just hope the corona virus will have some mercy upon us.
