A Mournful Morning - Farid Talukder

How many more oceans I have to sail with this deserted heart,
to say I love you!
How far shall I sink into the shadows to say goodbye!
A whirling wind in a mournful morning, in the valley of my childhood river
Comes back in this starry night, blows the whistle…
Reminds me of forgotten truths that fall away like autumn leaves
Hear the uproar of gleaming civilization, babies cry more and more
But love never dies at the sight of a brightest star, far in the dark sky!

A vendor singer suddenly stops his song, bows his head to hopeless pain,
Dust and cloud covers the artist's soul!
Earth rotates, flowers bloom, nature smiles…
And hope is born again in the wrinkle of Old Sun
Because, the love is there…!

How many more oceans I have to sail with this deserted heart,
to say I love you?
How far shall I sink into the shadows to say goodbye!
Either way, I believe a smile will shine in your face
And my heart will fill with joy!

A defeat is not defeat while love is there
And my love never dies!
